This past Saturday (May 14) we had our first inaugural Old Town Runaround. A 5K / 1-mile run benefiting our youth summer trips! All the money raised will go directly toward lowering the overall cost of our summer trips to our students. It was our privilege to share with you where God is calling the students this summer and how He’s at work in their hearts & lives. We hope that this will become an annual event that involves not only SMPC but also the Signal Mountain & Chattanooga community at large.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Truly, a gift straight from the Lord! Thinking back on the day we feel incredibly undeserving at how great of a day and event it was. We are still in awe of the countless ways God blessed us, the day & the race to raise funds for His work.
A most sincere thank you to our most amazing planning team & all the many volunteers (students, adults, sponsors) who made this race possible. We are overwhelmed with gratitude & appreciation for you. AND thanks to all you fabulous runners. Without you there would have been no race!
Here are some photos from the race taken by Jack Tucker, a current SM2 student.
