Hi Everyone! Today was another fantastic day! We headed out to our worksites this morning and worked a half day. Then we headed back to camp.
For the afternoon we had free time with our church group. SM2 ventured out to Blue Hole in Soddy Daisy. it.was.awesome. We had a great afternoon swimming around and jumping off cliffs into the water hole. You’re students are fearless! We then had dinner together at a restaurant called Dockside Cafe.
Upon arriving back at camp we had our closing program session. It was largely filled with students sharing about their week and ways they have seen God at work in them and others. Our speaker for the week taught from the passage when Jesus washes His disciples feet and then we had a time of washing one another’s feet.
We had family time and closed that out by circling around all of our rising 8th graders and praying for them as they prepare to enter high school in August. Everyone was quickly in bed after that.
Tomorrow morning (Saturday) we will spend several hours together debriefing and processing our week. Will you be praying for that time? That despite tiredness or everyone’s readiness to be home it would be fruitful and beneficial for all.
